A. General
- The goal of the Talent Fair is to give bachelor students and master students in the final phases of their studies the opportunity to connect with companies and get an internship, (student) job or graduation project. This will be done by means of presentations, a virtual market and speed dates.
- The Talent Fair will take place on Tuesday 26 April 2022.
- The DSD has the right to cancel the Talent Fair at any time due to any circumstances.
- The DSD cannot be held responsible in any way for any damage that occurs during the event.
B. Participation
- In order to participate in the Talent Fair, signing up is mandatory.
- On Campus (offline) participation
- The participant is offered the option to participate in a company market, presentations and workshops offline. There is no selection for the market. The selection for presentations and workshops are done on a first come first serve basis.
- The participant is offered the option to participate in speed dates with participating companies offline. The participant should register themself before Wednesday 20 April 2022, 23:59h. Companies will make a selection based on the interested participants.
- Cancellation of participation to the offline market and presentations of the Talent Fair without any valid reason is possible until Monday 26 April 2022 at 23:59h via email to talentfair@datasciencedays.nl.
- Cancellation of participation to the offline speed dates of the Talent Fair without any valid reason is possible until Wednesday 20 April 2022 at 23:59h via email to talentfair@datasciencedays.nl.
- Participation is only possible for (former) students and young professionals studying in, or interested in, the field of data science or computer science.
- Participants who are on the blacklist are excluded from participation in the Talent Fair 2022.
- Participants who have been selected for the speed dates of the Talent Fair 2022, will receive an information email timely in advance of the event.
- By signing up for the event, the participant declares to accept the terms and conditions and agrees with them. No controversy will be taken into consideration.
C. Obligations participant
- In case the participant behaves inappropriately, the organisation can exclude the participant from further participation and place the participant on the blacklist.
- In case the participant is responsible for any damage at the inventory of the event location or any other location related to the Talent Fair 2022, or to any belongings of DSD, Pattern or JADS, the costs will be charged to the participant.
D. Blacklist
- The DSD has a blacklist. This is a list of persons that are not allowed to attend the Data Science Days events (Data Science Start-up Night, Data Science Talent Fair and Data Science Experience Day).
- Cancellation of participation in the general admission of the Talent Fair 2022 without any valid reason after Monday 25 April 2022 at 23:59h will result in placement on the blacklist for at least one year.
- The participant is obliged to participate in the training sessions and the virtual company stands of the offline Talent Fair 2022 if they registered for them. When the participant does not participate without any valid reason, the organisation is allowed to place the participant on the blacklist for at least one year.
- Cancellation of participation in the speed dates of the Talent Fair 2022 without any valid reason after Wednesday 20 April 2022 at 23:59h will result in placement on the blacklist for at least one year.
- The participant is obliged to participate in the speed dates of the offline Talent Fair 2022 if they registered for them. When the participant does not participate without any valid reason, the organisation is allowed to place the participant on the blacklist for at least one year.
- Participants who are placed on the blacklist will be informed personally.
- There is no opportunity to discuss the blacklist.
- The blacklist is only available to the organization of the DSD and thus will not be published.
E. Privacy statement
- The Talent Fair 2022 adheres at all times to relevant laws and regulations, among which the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR).
- Processing personal data of participants is limited to only the data that is necessary for the purposes for which they are provided.
- The DSD has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to guarantee the security of personal data of participants.
- No personal data will be passed on to third parties unless this is necessary for executing the purposes for which they are provided.
- The DSD is aware of the participant’s rights regarding personal data.
- Personal data of applicants and participants are processed by the Talent Fair 2022 for the following purposes:
- Administrative purposes
- Providing information
- For the above-mentioned purposes, the Talent Fair 2022 may ask for the following personal data:
- Name;
- Address;
- Residence;
- Phone number;
- Email address;
- Bank data;
- Study data (e.g. study association, study phase);
- Preferences regarding the event itself (e.g. company preferences);
- Optionally any other special circumstances (e.g. allergies).
- At the Talent Fair 2022, pictures and video recordings will be taken by a photographer. By registering for the Talent Fair 2022, the participant allows the organisation to place photos and videos of the participant on the website and to use those photos and videos for promotional purposes. The participant has the right to demand that their appearance in the pictures or videos will be blurred.
- The DSD declares that they will not publish imagery and video material that can harm the participant. What is deemed harmful imagery and video material will be decided by the DSD.
- The DSD cannot be held responsible for any consequences caused by faulty information details provided by the participants.
